I've gotten so much LOVE from you all these days that Aloysius says I'm getting conceited. To show the stupid bear wrong, I've decided to give away one of the scarfes I found in grannys Wardrobe. It's a 1971 Hermés scarf with Lotus Flowers, the same kind Jacqueline Kennedy used to wear when she sneaked out those rainy November evenings to cheat on the president.
Just write how you should wear it, and it might be yours.

I would wear it tied around my head like a headscarf, with my long messy hair spilling out underneath. I've never owned anything designer in my entire life and have been lusting after a classic hermes scarf since I was a little girl :)

ReplyDeleteSmall black dress. Nothing under.

ReplyDeleteas a head scarf with big sunglasses to stay incognito when I sneak out...
ReplyDeleteI would wear with a simple little black dress or a flowy maxi dress and:
ReplyDelete1. Tied on my neck in a little bow to the side
2. In my hair as a turban
3. As a sash
4. OR tied to a black felt floppy hat!
It's a win, win in all situations!
Around my neck or my waist.
ReplyDeleteGood to have you back!
ReplyDeleteMissed your wild perceptions!
I would wear it all the time, every day, every night!
like jackie o, i would wear it as a headwrap on those mornings after seeing my lover when you've got that sex hair to hide. noone would suspect a thing so chic would be hiding such secrets.
ReplyDeleteWell there's so many ways to wear a scarf. I actually always pack one in my bag. I may wear it as a layer bandeau top. along with a crochet top with it or as a belt.
ReplyDeleteI would wear it like a turban during the day, tying around my head in a trendy way. Around my neck during dinner, looking as hot as a sinner.
ReplyDeleteAnd at night it would accompany on adventures of all kinds, till the wees of morning light, only to tell stories to the next owner of its glories as a Hermes scarf donor ;)
I'd love to wear with elegant suits and dresses. It looks so sophisticated so even wearing it with simple top and jeans will make me look fabulous!

Let me count the ways...
ReplyDelete-tying his hands to the bed posts
-tying my hands to the bed posts
-blocking out the world with appropriate visions of lotus while meditating on death and rebirth
-all of the above, not necessarily in that order

Laura @ beautynotbull.com
Id either wear it in my hair , as a typical scarf, or tied on my mulberry!
ReplyDeleteI would ware this around my neck in a loose knot, a high-waist semi-long silk skirt, maskuline loafters and a leather man-bag. Natural looking dark red lips, and beige framed sunglasses.
ReplyDeleteOn the otherhand there is nothing in my wardrobe this scarf would not go with!
I am on the look for the perfect scarf - as we speak - and I found it!! But why does it need to be in a competition???!! aaah I need it! haha
love~
Oh gosh-So many ways come to mind! I would wear it loosely tied around my neck, with the knot to the side. Or pile all my hair on top of my head and tie it around it. Or looped several times around my wrist like a bracelet. Or over my hair. So many possibilities!
ReplyDeleteThe Bombshell Manifesto
This scarf actually goes perfect with my vintage Peugeot bike. So as with my others I would either tie it in a bow in my hair worn in my end of the week fro.
ReplyDeleteOr tied half-cape, half-Boy Scout around my neck.
It really is a beautiful scarf.
Lindsey, yes there ARE many Possibilities! Hmm you are ALL so beautiful.
ReplyDeleteLike Dari...and the Bike :) I need HELP deciding. Who do you think should have it?
ReplyDeleteNina Kobalina wearing it as a turban!
ReplyDeleteI would cut it up and pattern my new little black with it. LOVE ur blog, totally obsessed
ReplyDeleteI'd wear it as a wrap, crossed at the front. It'd be a salute to its lotus Asian design.
ReplyDeleteFound this blog yesterday and I am so obsessed that I check for updated every few hours. The mystery of the posts, the atmosphere of the photos.. so intense, brings to my mind a world full of gemstones, crystals, candles, darkness, sisterhood, the past present and future, the night, the smoke, feathers, dream-catchers, lace, velvet, blood, bruises and cuts... And then I see this competion.. So chic and such a kind gesture. It has to be mine. I'd wear it in the morning with my nude silk elisabeth and james kimono and black lace shorts, I'd propably wrap it around the handle of a nice miss dior bag. Otherwise I would put it around my hair wearing a total white look from the Dolce & Gabbana SS11 collection http://stylefrizz.com/201010/dolce-gabbana-spring-summer-2011-collection/.I would wear it around my neck to hide my lovers bites to visit Petra in Jordan at night, paired with a maxi black Yves Saint laurent draped silk-georgette halterneck gown http://goo.gl/G5bDe. I'd love to experience the sun in Riomaggiore or Tuscany Italy, or even the Four Seasons Hotel in Bora Bora with the scarf around a lanvin hat. Or I would just tie my hands around my back and wait for my lover to find me naked,on my knees, on the floor wearing only Roger Vivier heels or maybe louboutins. I'd travel around the world with this scarf to fill it with stories and lust. But first I have to study and work hard and then spend my salary and life traveling. This scarf will a good omen for me. That my dreams will come true. A powerful gift I will painfully learn to harness. This Lonely Fate lies not in my hands..
ReplyDeleteBlack Swan, you are everywhere...
ReplyDeleteIn Buddhism, the lotus represents the true nature of beings, who rise into the beauty and clarity of enlightenment. so I would wear this classic nature scarf with a really plain long white dress and braid my hair or twist it up. Tight this scarf around my neck in a loose knot. Keep the simple and super natural nude look. Its like you just born from the earth.
ReplyDeleteSWOON!!! I would wear with around my shoulders untied over a navy blazer with pin stripe dark denim or black pants. Coupled with a plain bright tee, gold ray bans and oxfords!xox nida
ReplyDeleteKhanology.blogspot.com
Such a beautiful and inspiring scarf! To do your Granny justice, I would have to wear it in my hair. Channeling Jackie O and Ali Macgraw, I would tie this piece of art around my beachy waves. Depending on the day, I might add my sunnies or a great pair of gold hoops... we will see what the day holds. I would definitely wear it with one of my favorite maxis... or maybe white jeans and a black tee. I would head out for coffee, shopping, maybe a bonfire on the beach... Cape Cod, of course. This scarf would bring much inspiration and joy. Can you imagine if it could talk? The stories that this scarf would have to tell... it is truly a very special piece!
ReplyDeleteNicole Richie demonstrating some of my options... http://www.celebritysentry.com/post/nicole-richie-house-of-harlow-1960/
Khanology love the Ray Bans part of it.

ReplyDeleteI shouldn´t wear it - I would mount it as an art..
ReplyDeletehmm.. I would wear it on a bright sunny day tied around my hair, maybe like a turban, with a neutral maxi dress and pink wedges. && I would never ever cut it apart!
ReplyDeleteI would wear it like this!
ReplyDeletehttp://i.picoodle.com/06fifb35
It is so beautiful! I would wear it tightly tied around my neck, with a nice detail at the ends. With a black singlet, my favourite dark-grey jeans, and high heels. I like to keep my outfits simple, but with an unexpected and cool accessory, and this scarf would be perfect!
ReplyDeleteI'd wear it with a sleeveless white collared shirt (tied scarf around collar) and high waisted skyblue pants (maybe from American Apparel), frilly socks, and beige loafers, and a vintage satchel in one hand, to illustrate the 70's feel. Oh and huge shades.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to be a little risque and wear only the scarf and nothing else ;)
ReplyDelete<3 missheidy
Hey sunshine, I guess I am a bit late here but if my entry still counts....;) I'd love to win the scarf! It's unbelievably beautiful and timeless and I would probably wear it as much as I could. There are many ways how to do it but I think I would go with a pocket square, because I think it would add that right amount of luxury to my outfit. Who said that men are the only ones who can wear it like that???Pfff.
ReplyDeleteLove,

Thanks for your sweet email, following u. Follow me too?;)
ReplyDeleteHmm...Vintage was my first love. I wouldn't wear it as such, I would take it with me, as a friend, everywhere in any possible way or form. And after a while we would melt together, it would smell of me, I would feel like it. When people see it, they would think of me and when they see me, they would think of it. We would be inseparable like best friends or lovers, like fashion was meant to be. I would love to build on it's history.
ReplyDeletethe first thing that comes to my mind when I look at this beautiful scarf is the picture on right - http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-H2qggYFplQQ/TgoxGXnJD5I/AAAAAAAAExI/0OsDx-_eQgw/s640/05.jpg
ReplyDeleteand when the woman stands up, she would hold the scarf in her hands above her head and the wind will be flowing towards her :)
I would wear it braided in my hair, wrapped around my neck, attached to my handbag, tied up around my wrist, laid on my back and bound in the front...lotus flower reminds me of something very peaceful :)
I'd wear it as a headscarf like the old glamorous Hollywood divas Grace Kelly and Liz Taylor
ReplyDeletei'd wear it turban style, sometimes with my hair coming out of the top.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful and classic.. Just like your warm and selfless gesture! Your blog is fabulous and so are you! I would wear it wrapped around my head with some giant Jackie-O style sunnies and a simple yet tight lbd as well as some killer high black pumps and perhaps a black Birkin. Sophisticated and elegant with a hint of passion, just like your scarf!!
ReplyDeleteLoovee, Ana
i'd totally wear it all wrapped around my just-recently-long-enough hair's bun right on top the ol' head and then secretly feel bad for everyone that didn't have it so they could look as good as me ...
ReplyDeletebex.
That scarf is insanely beautiful!

P.S. Just added you on FB :)
Assuming that I cannot vote for myself, and taking into account the fact that my friends are always too lazy to vote for me haha, I'd like to offer my possession of a vote to Black Swan, for the beautiful poeticism. Painfully gorgeous stuff, Black Swan. :)

i would wear the hermes vintage as a blindfold.
ReplyDeletecover my physical eyes and let my third eye take me to the fourth dimension, the astral plane.
the smell and texture of the folded vintage silk would determine what place and with whom i would travel that night.
see you on the astral plane if you are lucky, or if i possess the vintage hermes.

Oh, that scarf is stunning. How lovely of you to give it away, sweets! As for me, I think I'd wear it tied around my hair with a big pair of sunglasses, just like Audrey Hepburn in Charade. Then I'd follow scheming thieves around Paris with Cary Grant and have a fabulous adventure!
ReplyDeleteIf the scarf is long enough, I might wrap it around me like a shirt. If not, because the print is already so vibrant, it would contrast beautifully with a black jumpsuit or maxi and topped off with a white blazer.
ReplyDeleteI love it! ;)
ReplyDeleteLove it! Would totally wear it as a head scarf this summer ;)

stunning! i'd wrap it right on my head if I were in Monaco, or tie it nicely on a lovely bag if running around NY or LA...... If in DC, i might wear it around my neck... so many things to do with it! Thanks for inviting me to enter. Here's on winning it! :)
ReplyDeleteI would wear it around my head to add color and brighten up my facial features.=) Stay Trendy, t.Rose
ReplyDeleteCan I vote for myself then? :)

Oh lordi! I would wear this scarf on my summervacation. Tied around my head at the beach, protecting those tresses, and worn with a low side ponytail at night. The scarf is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI'd wear it in my hair, because the fair blue matches perfect with my eyes. For more serious occasions, I'd wear it like a tie or a bow, feminin and sweet but still formal.
ReplyDeleteOh gosh I love this print.
I would wear this around my neck with a chic navy blue dress, enormous sunglasses, and sky high wedges!

ReplyDeleteEveryone has those days when one feels unhappy and everything seems gray. Days like those need something to brighten them up, to make the world more beautiful. That magnificent scarf would be that something.
ReplyDeleteA true piece of beauty!

What a lovely scarf!! Thanks for the opportunity you gave us : )..I would wear it around my shoulders with a totally summery white or black long lace dress and a big floppy hat..
ReplyDelete..Also, I would wear it as a fitted halter with short jeans, big 70’s vintage sunglasses and nude sandals..Also I would tied around my head or my bag’s handles : )) Thank you again..Good luck to everyone : )
I would wear it ENDLESSLY!
ReplyDeleteAlthough I'm afraid I'd die out of happiness if I win.
xx
just a little black dress!
ReplyDeleteWow. I have been searching ebay for an Hermes silk scarf for a while and I have never seen one this lovely.
ReplyDeleteOver the hair, under the chin, tied at the nape of the neck. Dark glasses. Mysterious rendez-vous. Open top cars. In my dreams.
IRL, tied into my hair or draped louchely around my neck. It would make a plain outfit perfect.
I love it.
lucid dreams anent the seventies, as time aspirates the epheremal odour. all i have ever wanted is to cover my eyes, so be it with memories.
ReplyDeleteI'd throw my id, makeup bag, and mints in the middle then fold it up and sling it in my shoulders, what a gorgeous handbag it would make...better yet...wear as an arm sling, its fun to pretend to be injured an evening out...
ReplyDeleteI would wear it with other beautiful, yet clashing, prints. No such thing as too many prints, too many colors, too many styles, or too much jewelry. I'd wear it in my hair, then tie it onto my handbag, then around my neck the next day. Something as special as this deserves to see the light of day as much as possible.
ReplyDeletexox Courtney Michele
I would wear it around my head in a turban or to hide my hair which is awkwardly growing out of its pixie cut. It's a beautiful print and just what I need to tie around the handles of my brown leather bag.
ReplyDeleteI would wear it as a bandeau top with a lil mini skirt, maybe hot pink to pick up the accents in the flowers :)
ReplyDeleteFirst off I love love LOVE the print of this!! But I would wear it with a white shirt and a black pencil skirt...I'd used to scarf as a sort of tie but tie a bow instead of leaving it straight
ReplyDeleteAmazing giveaway! I would wear this folded over then tied around my head turban-style over tousled hair. I'd amp up the 60's vibe with winged eyeliner, false eyelashes and rose pink lipstick, and keep the rest of my ensemble simple - I'm thinking a black mini with flared sleeves and black wedges. So cute!

(or hanging over the tiny window in my kitchen)
.... and definitely every single day that I am in Thailand! (will be there for the month of aug.) With all those lotus flowers, I can't imagine a better accessory. It's perfection, and you are a darling for putting it up for grabs!
Tie it around my eyes and see if I can remember the way home.
